Joe’s Gone Diving is a Dutch owned PADI IDC 5* Dive Center based in Sanur. Owners Jan and Mirjam opened their dive center in 2011. They decided to settle on Bali because of the unique mix it has to offer. Amazing coral reefs & marine life, a fascinating culture, beaches, great food and restaurants and lots of things to do.
Here at Joe’s, we care about our customers and the environment and we go out of our way to give our customers a great and fun diving experience. All our groups are always small, our staff very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. You will find we all have one thing in common; we are keen to share our passion for diving with others.
Between us we speak a wide range of languages, amongst others: English, Dutch, German, Indonesian and Spanish. While our professional courses are most often taught in English, everyone is always more than happy to help you if you need support in a different language.
We care about the environment
The diversity of the Bali reefs and marine life are impressive and we love to keep it that way. That’s why we organize regular clean ups and try to eliminate the use of plastic where possible. We have received the PADI Green Star Award for being an eco-friendly dive center and the Project Aware Award for our contribution to Project AWARE. We are also a Shark Guardian Dive Center. Shark Guardian is a non-profit organization focused on shark conservation through research and education. You can buy some of their merchandise at our dive center to help support this great cause.
Great quality dive equipment at Joe’s Gone Diving
As an Aqualung Partner Center, we have high quality Aqualung equipment and all our equipment is maintained at the highest standards. We stock a wide range of sizes, to make sure we have the right fit for you, should you need to rent any of our dive equipment. In our shop, you can purchase your own dive equipment, from masks and dive computers to finger reels and SMBs.
Who is Joe?
That’s a question we often get asked, who is Joe? Actually there is no Joe, as he is always diving… We adopted a manta ray though and called him Joe. He is still often spotted on Nusa Penida, so you might be lucky enough to spot him if you join one of our dive trips to Manta Point.
