Instructor Specialities

PADI Specialty Instructor Course Bali: choose from a wide range of specialties.

Being able to teach a variety of specialties is not only beneficial to your students, it also adds excitement and fun to your day-to-day work. During your PADI Specialty Instructor course you will not only learn how to teach the specialty, but also refine your specialty skills. As a PADI Specialty Instructor you will be more valuable to potential future employers. You can follow our specialties any time one by one, or join us after each IE for our discounted MSDT (Master Scuba Diver Trainer) preparation package.

To become a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer you will need to have certified 25 students and have 5 different PADI Specialty Instructor ratings.

At Joe’s Gone Diving we offer a 5 Specialty MSDT preparation package. In the MSDT prep, which takes three days, you will go over your Instructor guide and present different segments of the course, either Open Water, Confined Water or, for dry courses, Knowledge development sections.

Besides classroom sessions to fine-tune your skills, your course will take you to a variety of dive sites across Bali as we dive on different dive locations every day. As Bali’s dive sites are so diverse, you will get to experience many different dive conditions. Plus make some great dives! Unless it is a non-diving specialty of course.

PREREQUISITES for the PADI Divemaster COurse

To be able to begin your PADI Specialty Instructor Course you will need to be an active teaching PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor. Some courses have special requirements like Nitrox and Sidemount. For Nitrox you need to be a certified Enriched Air diver with a minimum of 10 Nitrox dives. For Sidemount you need to be a certified Sidemount Diver.

If you don’t have those credentials yet, no problem, you can book those courses together with your Instructor Course at Joe’s Gone Diving.

During our MSDT prep Package we usually spend one day in the classroom at Joe’s for the dry courses. On the 2nd day, we make our way in the morning up to Kubu where we start with the first specialties and advance down to the WWII USAT Liberty shipwreck in Tulamben for night dives if needed. The 3rd day we start early morning with a sunrise dive. After that we either go to Padang Bai or continue in Tulamben, depending on the conditions needed for the courses.
